What does mom need with her to the hospital. What to take with you to the hospital? Three packages that a pregnant woman will take with her to childbirth

Antipyretics for children are prescribed by a pediatrician. But there are emergency situations for fever in which the child needs to be given medicine immediately. Then the parents take responsibility and use antipyretic drugs. What is allowed to be given to infants? How can you bring down the temperature in older children? What are the safest medicines?

Childbirth is a responsible, exciting event in the life of every woman in labor. You need to be ready for them in advance, so that at the "cherished hour" you do not waste precious time, quickly get ready to go to the hospital - throw bags in the trunk, jump into the car and devote all your attention to the process of the emergence of a new life. You do not have to run from corner to corner, puzzle over where one thing lies, where to get another, and whether you need anything else.

We are going to the maternity hospital in advance - one and a half to two months before the expected date of birth (suddenly they will start earlier). Let's take our time to think, consider a complete list of necessary things for mom and newborn baby. Remember, not all maternity hospitals have the same conditions of stay and requirements, some things from the complete list may not be needed. But, it is better to lay out the "extra" than to experience discomfort from the lack of what was really needed.

What should you take with you? Let's make a complete list of the things you need for a mom-to-be and a newborn in 2020 in advance!

What to take with you to the hospital - how best to pack, what we take

In order to make it easy for the expectant mother to navigate, not to get confused when completing the necessary things for childbirth, we will divide the list into four groups. Therefore, you collect not one bag, but as many as four, under the numbers:

  1. The bag with which you will go to the hospital is No. 1.
  2. The bag that will be brought to you after childbirth is No. 2.
  3. Bag with things for discharge for a newborn baby - No. 3.
  4. Bag with things for your discharge - No. 4.

For those that you use daily, may wrinkle and cannot be pre-packed - write on a piece of paper and cling to the bag with the selected number. Then at the "cherished" time, when you are in a hurry, you will not forget anything!

For example, bag-1: "Report documents, comb, cell phone, bottle with drinking water." Bag-4: "To complete - suit (dress), boots, jacket".

When you have lists, bags, things - everything is ready, show and explain to your husband. Then have You have a historical chance and the fact that in your absence he will not forget or confuse anything.

Bag, list No. 1. We go to the maternity ward

You will need the contents of this bag even before admission to the maternity ward.

  1. The documents: passport; compulsory health insurance policy; pregnant exchange card; generic certificate with coupon number 2(if a woman did not register at the antenatal clinic, this certificate will be issued to her directly at the maternity hospital).
  2. Robe(comfortable and light tracksuit or pajamas).
  3. Slippers... Maternity hospital regulations prescribe washable. This is justified - they are more comfortable and easier to keep clean.
  4. Nightgown... It should be comfortable and made of natural fabric.
  5. Socks(2 pairs of cotton).
  6. Linen... In case you have to go to the hospital in advance, you need to take a couple of changeable underwear.
  7. Towels: one for the face, the other for the body. By the way, disposable paper towels (roll) are quite convenient.
  8. Hygiene items: soap in a soap dish; Toothbrush in a case; Toothpaste; comb; mirror; disposable Shaver.
  9. For toilet: toilet paper(choose the softest); disposable toilet seat covers... These are special paper napkins that are put on the toilet (literally with one hand), and after using the toilet they spontaneously slide inside, carried away by the drain water. They do not clog the sewerage system, as they are easily soluble, suitable for any shape of the toilet, and make going to the toilet convenient and hygienic.
  10. Cosmetical tools: hygienic lipstick; hand and face creams that you use on a daily basis.
  11. Deodorant(preferably ball, with a faint, unsharp odor or none at all).
  12. Nail scissors... Among other things, they are useful for household needs (open the packaging, cut the bandage, etc.).
  13. Cellular telephone... Do not forget Charger and a top-up card (if used).
  14. Watch- wrist or small desktop (preferably with a second hand or digital). Although there is a clock in a cell phone.
  15. Electric kettle(boiler). In addition to its main purpose, this device will provide you with boiling water, which may later be useful for sterilizing the pacifier.
  16. Garbage bags... There will be no problems, where to put food packaging, used tampons, etc. It is convenient to pack dirty laundry in bags.
  17. For entertainment: magazine or book; player or radio.

Bag, list number 2. What you need after childbirth

This bag will be brought to you after delivery. Since there are now two of you, the bag will consist of two “compartments”.

For Mom

  1. Robe.
  2. Nightgown... It should be comfortable to feed. If you could not buy a special shirt for nursing mothers, then the usual one with a deep cut on the buttons will be just what you need.
  3. Panties- the simplest cotton (at least 2 pairs) or disposable postpartum (sold in packs of 4-6 pieces). These are special mesh panties with which it is easy to fix the diaper or panty liners.
  4. Hygienic gaskets... There are special ones for postpartum discharge. But ordinary ones are also suitable, only the largest and most absorbent ones.
  5. Bra for feeding. Two pieces per shift. Add disposable bra pads to that. Postpartum bandage. The sooner you "take" the stomach, the faster it will return to normal.
  6. Socks... Keep your feet warm. Pen + notepad. Write down your observations. This process, though difficult, but fascinating: it will help organize the day, and then you will be happy to re-read your notes.

A pregnant woman carries a lot of documents with her: a passport, an exchange card, a policy, directions for tests and their results, recipes, memos. Documents can get dirty, wrinkled or lost. To save them, buy an office envelope folder on the button. Thanks to the transparent material from which it is made, your documents will always be in sight and safe.

For a newborn baby

  1. Baby soap in a soap dish. To avoid confusion, let it not be the same color as your soap.
  2. Towel- very soft so as not to hurt the delicate baby skin.
  3. Cotton wool... Buy sterile cotton in a small package. It will be needed to wipe the baby's eyes, make flagella for cleaning the nose and ears. Cotton balls will do as well.
  4. Comb or brush... Let your baby be neat and beautiful from the first days. Give him pleasure by stroking the head with a soft brush.
  5. Baby nail clippers... If the baby was born with "claws", he can scratch himself. Therefore, you need to cut them off or temporarily put them on the handles. mittens-scratches.
  6. Baby cream... Buy small packages (bottles or tubes), because first you need to try whether these cosmetics will suit your baby, and they will take up less space (remember, you are not at home yet).
  7. Wet wipes.
  8. Diaper cream.
  9. Powder... It will be more convenient to use it if you buy a special powder box with a puff (this does not apply to liquid talcum powder). Do not use cream (oil) and powder at the same time!
  10. Disposable diapers... A small package will suffice. Choose the smallest and most breathable.
  11. Diaper... In the maternity hospital there are "government" ones, and usually there is no shortage of them. But if you want to use your own, enable this item. The main thing is that you regularly bring clean diapers to change. It is unacceptable to arrange “laundry” in the maternity hospital.
  12. Blouses, bodysuit... One or two thin ones and one flannel will suffice.
  13. Sliders, overalls.
  14. Cap, cap- one light and one flannel.
  15. Nipple bottle... You probably won't have to use it, but just in case, let it be. Of course, after childbirth it will not be easy to take care of your health and to join the maternal concerns. And yet, do not relax, take care of yourself, be neat and tidy - the most beautiful mother in the world!

What should dad take?

Take care of your dad! If your husband is going to "give birth" with you, then you need to prepare for him too " bag to the hospital“. To attend childbirth, the future dad must have the following documents in his hands:

  1. Test results (specify which tests will be required in your maternity hospital and when it is advisable to take them).
  2. Passport or other identity document.
  3. Prepare light clothes and replacement shoes for your husband. Better if these are washable slippers or disposable shoe covers. A dressing gown, a hat, a mask should be provided in the hospital. If you decide to make a film about the birth of a child, keep your video camera ready for use - with charged batteries, with an erased flash memory or cassette. If the husband after childbirth remains in the hospital for a joint stay with his wife and child, then he will need personal hygiene items, a towel, shaving accessories, change of clothes and underwear.
  4. If mom and baby will be without dad, but in a separate ward, for their subsequent visits, the father of the family would do well to stock up on: medical disposable shoe covers; medical masks.

Regardless of whether your husband is a supporter of joint childbirth or not, he should know how to contact the hospital and your doctor. Therefore, provide it with the appropriate phone numbers.

Bag, list number 3. What things to take for discharge for a newborn baby

Put things here for the baby to be discharged. Decide what your child will be wearing and prepare everything according to the season. Among winter and summer clothes, it is better to put both light and warmer clothes and blankets. It’s better to be superfluous than not enough.

A special set "for discharge" will greatly facilitate the collection of a newborn baby.

  1. V kit may include envelope, blanket, diaper-corner, bonnet, undershirt... All these things, made in the same style, are very elegant and beautiful, just to match your festive mood.
  2. Underwear: blouse, bodysuit, romper, overalls.
  3. Diaper(put two so that the “baby surprise” while dressing does not come as a surprise to you).
  4. Suit.
  5. Diaper- thin and flannel (if the baby will be swaddled).
  6. Outerwear: jumpsuit, envelope, blanket in duvet cover, ribbon.
  7. Beanie for the street.

Going home, please note that, according to the new (introduced from 01.01.2006) traffic rules, it is possible to transport a child in a car only with the use of special restraints. Therefore, it is worth thinking about an infant car seat or car seat in advance.

Required documents

Be sure to check the correctness of the data entered in these documents:

  1. Birth certificate... Based on this certificate, your baby will be registered at the registry office and receive a birth certificate.
  2. “Children's” part of the exchange card... Here you will find the physical parameters of the baby at birth, features of the course of childbirth, a conclusion about the child's health after birth and at the time of discharge, data on the vaccination carried out, doctor's recommendations, etc. You will give this certificate to the clinic where your baby will be monitored ... It will be the beginning of his developmental history and outpatient card.
  3. Vaccination certificate... This will include information about the preventive vaccinations carried out to the baby. The certificate will be stored with you, do not forget to present it later to enter new data.
  4. "Mother" part of the exchange card... Here you will find information about childbirth and its features, the medications used and the procedures performed (if any). You will give this certificate to your doctor at the antenatal clinic.
  5. Other documents (if any): part generic certificate remaining with the woman; its copy voluntary health insurance policy, concluded contract(contracts) on obstetrics, etc. These documents confirm the fact that medical care and services have been provided to you and may be useful in the future in case of complications that arise.

Bag, list in maternity hospital number 4. What should mom take for discharge

When planning what clothes you will wear from the hospital, keep in mind that your belly and hips will not yet be in their original form if you have gained a lot of extra pounds during pregnancy. Give preference to loose (stretch) clothing that is adjustable in width (wrap, elastic).

  1. Linen... Add here the same tights.
  2. clothing... What it will be: a tracksuit, jeans or an elegant dress, a trouser (skirt) suit - it's up to you.
  3. Outerwear: jacket, raincoat, jacket, coat, fur coat (depending on the season).
  4. Shoes... Shoes without heels are definitely comfortable. But for pregnancy she is usually already bored - especially for lovers of "hairpins". If this is just you, and you will not have any medical contraindications, please yourself with heels! After all, you will not have to walk much on them, and dad will carry the baby.
  5. Cosmetics, hairspray, jewelry.

Please your loved ones with a good mood and blooming appearance! Light makeup, styled hair, favorite jewelry - today you are in the spotlight. Please note that this is how you will remain in photos and videos, which your child will then enjoy watching.

The day of discharge is both long-awaited and exciting at the same time. When going home, check to see if you have collected all your belongings. Do not forget about the documents that the maternity hospital will prepare for you.

Thinking about the upcoming exciting moment, the hassle of collecting everything you need for yourself and your child, the desire to ensure that everything works out as it should and even better is a great way not to think about the bad and make a dream a reality. With a positive attitude, with the calm confidence that everything is ready for you, that you have foreseen and taken into account everything, you can safely go to the hospital, easy childbirth is guaranteed for you and your baby!

Bag to the hospital, what to take with you to the hospital?

On the video channel "Encyclopedia of Beauty". A prepared bag for the maternity hospital instills confidence not only in the expectant mother, but also eliminates the need to panic other household members. In this video, we will tell you what to put in a bag in the hospital, and how to make a list of things correctly.

So the waiting period for the baby is coming to an end, very soon you will already be holding him in your arms.

This moment will be one of the happiest in life. But when contractions begin, before childbirth, believe me, it will be difficult to collect everything you need in the hospital.

In these moments it is not at all before. It is better to collect a bag with the necessary things in the hospital about a week or two before the expected birth.

The question arises: What should be taken to the hospital? See below for my list of essentials that I have collected for myself and my newborn.

Upon admission to the maternity hospital, the first thing you do is to go to the prenatal hospital. In this room, usually, it is not allowed to take anything other than a few items listed below (in a blue frame). This is especially true if the maternity hospital is public (free).

Therefore, upon admission, you should only have:

  1. Your passport
  2. exchange card
  3. compulsory insurance honey. policy
  4. if childbirth is paid, then the contract (agreement) for childbirth
  5. washable slippers. Fluffy slippers should not be used.

These are the most basic things you need to do when you enter the maternity hospital. Usually in a free maternity hospital nothing else is allowed. Paid maternity hospitals allow you to take a lot of additional things, such as: a camera, a video camera, a cell phone (it is better to take it with a charger). But each specific maternity hospital has its own rules of permissible things and it is better to clarify about them in advance. Eating before childbirth is not recommended, so do not stock up on food. But after getting into the ward, where you will be with the child, you will need more things. After all, you have to live there with a newborn from 3 to 10 days, depending on the situation. List of necessary things for yourself and the newborn in the ward:

What you need to take to the hospital from clothes for yourself:

  • the robe is your daily dressing gown in the hospital.
  • nightgown or pajamas (a couple of pieces for replacement). I really liked wearing a beautiful nightgown for nursing mothers in the hospital. It looks like a dress with hidden cuts for feeding a newborn. Very comfortably.
  • socks
  • bras for nursing mothers. (a couple is better).

What you need to take to the hospital - hygiene items:

  • soap with a soap dish, toothpaste and brush, comb, shampoo, small mirror.
  • toilet paper
  • The largest hygienic pads (maxi, ultra super) or are now selling special for women in childbirth.
  • panties. I once took the usual ones and washed them. Now you can take disposable with you to avoid this.
  • towel - a couple.
  • cosmetics (useful on the day of discharge)
  • cream for nipples - the husband will then buy if there is such a need. It is needed to lubricate cracked nipples. For example, it was not useful to me.

What should be taken to the hospital for a newborn:

Nurse girls themselves bring everything needed for newborns. Diapers, undershirts and caps are given out every day in the right amount. Everything is sterile, so there is no need to take things for the newborn with you. But come in handy:

  • baby soap
  • cotton buds

It is not necessary to take diapers, diapers are given out in sufficient quantities, you will just change them more often. A newborn baby without diapers will be even more comfortable :). Such things as powder, brilliant green, hydrogen peroxide for treating the navel, body cream - everything is available in the hospital, it is not necessary to take with you. Especially if the hospital is paid, such things are not useful there. The nurses themselves come and handle everything the baby needs. And the eyes will be washed and the navel will be treated and lubricated with cream if necessary.

What you need to take to the hospital from things:

  • dishes (cup, spoon, plate)
  • notebook and pen

Food in the hospital is tolerable, you can eat :). Honestly, after giving birth, it is better to sit on such a diet for a while. They have it adapted for newborns (so that there are no rashes). You can take tea bags and sugar with you. The rest will be brought by your relatives at your request.

What you need to take to the hospital for discharge:

You do not need to take these things in advance.
On the day of discharge, relatives will bring:

  • Clothes for mom. In order not to get into a mess, it is better to take the things that were worn during pregnancy. Because the belly does not go away so quickly, and you may not fit into the other.

For a newborn, we take things with elements of blue or pink, depending on the gender of the child:

  • Diaper
  • Bodysuit or blouse or undershirt
  • Sliders
  • Thin beanie
  • Booties or socks
  • Diaper (thin + thick). Under a warm blanket.
  • Take a camera or a video camera (or both) to check out, so that this wonderful moment in your life remains on photographs. This point is especially important!

In the cold season (autumn, spring, winter), you will additionally need for discharge:

  • Warm hat
  • Winter overalls or envelope or warm blanket with a ribbon

This is where the list of what you need to take to the hospital for yourself and the newborn ends.

P.S. Sweet gifts and flowers for the nurse are also useful., which will carry your baby, and the rest of the doctors at will. I sincerely wish you an easy delivery and give birth to a strong healthy baby! Happiness to your family and home!

It's time to give birth. You need to properly prepare yourself and collect the bag. And of course, provide the baby with everything he needs. So, what to take with you to the hospital.

Signs of an imminent birth

Labor will begin soon if:
  • The mucous plug has come off.
  • I would like to put things in order in the apartment or make repairs immediately in one day, immediately.
  • Pains appeared in the abdomen, in the lower part of it. At first, almost imperceptible, then more and more perceptible, more and more.
  • It became easier to breathe.
  • I don't feel like eating.
  • Intermittent diarrhea or vomiting.
  • The belly sank.
  • Anxiety has increased, it feels like you don't know where to put yourself.
  • Change of activity of the baby - increased activity is replaced by complete silence.
  • The amniotic fluid is gone.
If the amniotic fluid comes out, then you need to quickly get to the hospital.

When to prepare things at the hospital

In the early stages, getting ready for the hospital is somehow strange, no one immediately thinks about it. Most often, they start collecting things from the end of the second trimester or several weeks before the expected date of birth. It is better when you feel good, when you can go to the shops and pharmacies, choose the most suitable things.
If you are not on conservation, and the entire period was carried out at home, the gynecologist should have informed you that childbirth should be expected from 37 to 42 weeks of pregnancy. And this means that already at 35 weeks you need to prepare everything you need so as not to get nervous and fuss once again.

What things to take maternity hospital

The list of the pregnant woman should be given to you at the hospital. By following it, you can collect the most necessary. But do not forget about the little things that will not only be useful to you, but will become even more useful. So, what to take for yourself from the list and beyond.

The documents

They can be prepared in advance. You need a passport, as well as a copy of its first page and registration, that is, registration. An exchange card is required, which describes how the pregnancy proceeded, information about all studies is entered. You also need an insurance policy, an agreement with a maternity hospital, if there is a birth certificate. If giving birth with a partner, then he needs a passport, health certificate, tests. You may need a doctor's phone number, you need to take it in advance and the address of the hospital.

Things to the antenatal department

You need to have with you:
  • Replaceable shoes that are comfortable, lightweight, easy to clean.
  • Robe.
  • Nightgown.
  • Socks.
  • Linen.
  • Towel.
  • Machine for shaving.
  • Dental care products.
  • Toilet paper.
  • Shampoo.
  • Comb.
  • Bed linen if needed.
  • Dishes - spoon, cup.
  • Phone and device for charging it.

Stuff postpartum ward

After childbirth you will need:
  • Disposable panties or ordinary panties, but made of natural material.
  • Special pads that are used after childbirth.
  • Several bottles of water, preferably still.
  • Several special bras for comfortable feeding of the baby.
  • Pads to prevent milk from leaking, one package is enough.
  • The same personal hygiene items - toilet paper, soap, dentifrice, a towel, you can even have several towels - one large and smaller, paper towels, a shaving machine, a comb. If conditions permit in the hospital, then you will need shampoo.
  • Disposable diapers - up to 10 pieces.
  • Garbage bags - roll.
  • Compression stockings if the doctor insists.
  • Breast pump, if available.
You may need a postpartum bandage for those recommended by your doctor.

Things for the baby

For the baby you need to take:
  • Packing the smallest diapers.
  • Cosmetics - baby oil, soap, cream, wet wipes, powder.
  • Clothes for the season - overalls, undershirts, scratches or special mittens, caps, socks, sliders, blouses.

Things for a partner

  • Passport;
  • Fluorography;
  • Change of clothes and shoes;
  • Water and food.

Things to check out

Discharge is always a solemn moment. Usually the most dear and close people meet. After giving birth, it is not always possible to look blooming, but at least you need to take decent clothes with you, and the baby also has something to dress, necessarily according to the season (socks, romper, blouse, cap) and an envelope. If you have someone to deliver all this on the day of discharge, then you can not take it with you right away, but cook it.

How to wash things in a maternity hospital

It is recommended to wash the first baby clothes with baby soap without any additives. You can make shavings in the washing machine, for example, grate baby soap and wash as usual. It is not worth using baby powders or liquid soap, there are many different additives, and it is not yet known how baby's skin will react.

In which package to collect things in the hospital

Depends on the internal rules of the hospital. You need to ask in advance what bags are used there. Most often, things are collected in the maternity hospital in medium-sized dense bags with handles, they are also called "T-shirts". They are sold in any supermarket. Better to use new ones.

How to put things in the hospital

Distribute things in such a way that it is convenient to get it out and do not forget what is where. Sometimes ready-made kits for the maternity hospital are sold in a transparent bag, but it must be checked against the list that is issued in the women's office.

Do I need to take baby things to the hospital

At the present stage, after childbirth, if there are no complications, the baby is in the same room with his mother, but sleeps in a separate bed. This means that the mother will take care of him, the baby will need clothes and cosmetics. Once upon a time, in maternity hospitals they gave out everything state, including diapers. Now, more often everything is used, right down to bed linen, so it is better to take everything you need so as not to experience discomfort.
Collecting things at the hospital is a rather laborious job. You need to have time to prepare them before going to the hospital. Usually, shortly before the birth, the gynecologist or in the maternity ward, where the baby is to be born, give out a list that needs to be collected, everything that is necessary is indicated there.

What to take with you to the hospital: do you need dishes, bedding, disposable diapers, etc.? Absolutely all future women in childbirth ask this question. Of course, a lot depends on the maternity ward itself. Some even need to bring your own dishes and sugar. But there is a certain category of things that every expectant mother should put in her purse. By the way, about the bags. With a sports bag, which is usually taken with you on trips, you may not be allowed to enter the department due to the existing sanitary standards. It is recommended to enter the hospital with ordinary plastic bags. So, a list of things and a short explanation.

1. Documents. This is what you should have with you in the first place, don't hide it far. You must have a passport, insurance policy, exchange card and a contract (if you have to pay for childbirth).

2. Mobile phone and charging. If you do not have a joint childbirth, then it will be very difficult without a mobile phone.

3. A bottle of drinking water. In primiparas, labor can last up to 12 hours. Of course, I don't want to eat during the period of strong contractions, but I really don't want to drink. It is important that the water is without gas.

4. If you suffer from varicose veins or have a caesarean section, be sure to bring elastic leg bandages with you.

5. Personal hygiene items. Towel for yourself and your child. For a baby, buy a special one with a hood - it's very convenient. Toothbrush, paste, comb, shampoo for you, toilet paper, soap. Check in advance about the utensils. It is possible that the list of things in the hospital will include forks, spoons, cups and plates. Also, be sure to stock up on sanitary napkins. It is advisable to purchase special postpartum ones, as they absorb very well. In the first 3-5 days, the bleeding will be very severe. In the first days after childbirth, breast milk will appear, and during the period of lactation, a lot more of it may come than the baby needs. Special disposable bra pads will help to avoid its leakage, damage to clothes.

6. Clothes and underwear. Take a robe and a nightgown from your clothes. The dressing gown is preferably hinged - it is more comfortable. Remember, the main thing is to ensure quick access to the breast for the baby. Choose panties from natural materials and classic shapes, certainly not thongs. Sanitary pads must be securely attached to them. A great option for the early days is disposable underpants. Get a bra with fold-over cups for nursing mothers. Slippers must be washable. You can take a postpartum bandage with you. Regular wearing it will speed up your recovery, the uterus will contract more actively, and your tummy will quickly return to its usual, "pre-pregnant" shape.

7. Boiler or electric kettle. The first, as you know, is more compact. If you are not in a paid ward, then these things are irreplaceable. A nursing mother should drink more.

Now what to take with you to the hospital for the child.

1. Shirts, slides, suits can be left at home. Even if you are not a supporter of swaddling, it is the diapers in the maternity hospital that are the very thing. Take 5 thin and 5 warm pieces.

2. Diapers. Reusable gauze diapers, although breathable, are not very suitable for use in the field. In the first 2-3 days after childbirth, a child often defecates with meconium (original feces), which has a consistency similar to plasticine. And if we add to this the fact that there are no conditions for washing in the maternity hospital, then only disposable diapers remain. Don't worry, they are completely safe. Take your packaging with you. The preferred size is for a 3-6 kilogram child, since 2-4 kilograms may be small. Wet wipes can be added to the same item. Although many nannies are against such benefits of civilization, this thing is irreplaceable in the hospital. Please note that there will most likely be nowhere to wash the child too. Unless under the tap right in the sink. For the prevention of diaper rash, you can take with you a powder or a special ointment for newborns.

3. From what you need to take to the hospital, often controversy is a dummy. They say that it spoils the bite, it is hard to get used to breastfeeding. Of course, all this is too exaggerated. A dummy given to a baby for the night will give at least a few hours of peace to his mother. And if the baby wants to eat, then no dummy will mislead him, he will spit it out and start crying. Of course, there are children who do not like or are indifferent to pacifiers, but if the baby is a "screamer", such a measure, one might say, is forced. It is very difficult every 20-30 minutes, both day and night, to put a baby on the breast, when, in fact, he does not want to eat.

4. Set for discharge. Usually it consists of an elegant blanket, a corner, a vest, diapers, a cap, and kerchiefs. You can take this kit with you to the hospital or ask your family to bring things to you before you leave.

And what to take to the hospital as entertainment for free moments, how to please yourself, can and should you take cosmetics? These questions are of concern to modern expectant mothers, therefore we will compose a small TOP 3 unnecessary things for a maternity hospital.

1. Decorative cosmetics and perfumes are not needed in the hospital! Firstly, you are unlikely to have a desire to direct a marafet, and secondly, there is hardly any free time for this. Usually, this is the most free time, newly-made moms spend on food, sleep, talking on the phone and with one-room girls. And thirdly, the smell of perfume and some decorative cosmetics like nail polish is unlikely to please both your child and the roommates and their newborn babies.

2. Medicines. Many medicines are contraindicated for lactating women. And taking medicine with you to the hospital is a bit silly. If you need anything, doctors will make appropriate appointments and you will be treated. And self-medication is fraught ...

3. Breast pump. The recommendation to express milk in order to increase milk supply is hopelessly outdated. A woman produces exactly as much milk as the child needs, even in excess. And unjustified and inept use of a breast pump will lead only to the formation of cracks in the nipples.

That's what you shouldn't take with you to the hospital.

2-3 weeks before the birth, everything that may be needed in the maternity hospital, as a rule, is already laid out in packages - things for the mother, hygiene items, crossword books and, of course, a bag with things for a new family member. But so that mom does not have to frantically call all relatives after giving birth and drive dad to the shops, you should make a list of everything you need in advance. Especially considering that not all maternity hospitals will provide you with sliders, hygiene products and even diapers.

List of necessary things for the baby - collecting the bag for the maternity hospital!

  • Baby soap or baby gel for bathing (wash away the crumbs).
  • Packaging of diapers. You will have time to switch to gauze diapers at home, and after giving birth, your mother needs a rest - diapers will give you a few extra hours of sleep. Just do not forget to pay attention to the size of the diapers and the indicated age. It usually takes about 8 pieces per day.
  • Thin undershirts - 2-3 pcs. or bodysuit (preferably with long sleeves, 2-3 pcs.).
  • Sliders- 4-5 pcs.
  • Thin diapers (3-4 pcs.) + Flannel (similar).
  • Thin and warm caps , according to the weather (2-3 pcs.).
  • Water bottle ... There is no acute need for it (mother's milk is enough for a newborn), and you cannot sterilize a bottle in a maternity hospital. But if you plan to feed your baby with a formula, ask this question in advance (whether bottles are issued in the hospital, or what opportunities are there for sterilization).
  • Socks(Two pairs).
  • "Scratches"(cotton gloves so that the baby does not accidentally scratch his face).
  • Without blankets You can also do without (they will give him out in the maternity hospital), but your own home will, of course, be much more comfortable.
  • Wet wipes, baby cream (if the skin needs moisturizing) and a powder or cream for diaper rash. Use them only when necessary and do not forget to pay attention to the expiration date, composition and the mark "hypoallergenic".
  • Disposable diapers (put on scales or changing table).
  • Towel(it is useful for washing, but a thin diaper will work instead).
  • Nail scissors for children's marigolds (they grow very quickly, and babies often scratch themselves in their sleep).
  • Do I need dummy- you decide. But remember that it will be much more difficult to wean from the nipple later than to immediately learn to do without it.

Don't forget to cook as well separate package for crumbs for discharge.
