Antipyretics for children are prescribed by a pediatrician. But there are emergency situations with fever when the child needs to be given medicine immediately. Then the parents take responsibility and use antipyretic drugs. What is allowed to be given to infants? How can you lower the temperature in older children? What medications are the safest?

If you like to crochet balloons or strands of beads, then the process of placing beads on a thread cannot be called creative and inspiring.
But sometimes you have to collect several meters of beads onto a thread.
What to do? How to make your work easier?

They come to the rescue spinners- special devices that help to collect beads.
They can be semi-automatic, i.e. manually driven, and automatic, battery-powered. Sometimes craftswomen call them spinning wheels.

Guide to using "SPINNER":

1. We pick up the special needle supplied with the “SPINNER” and thread the thread into the eye. Cut off the end of the thread and tie it in a knot or leave it on the spool.
2. Then we take the beads and pour them into the “SPINNER”, filling it halfway or a little more. We do not recommend filling the bowl to the brim, as the beads may scatter throughout the room.
3. We begin to rotate the metal rod of the device counterclockwise, holding it with the thumb and index finger of the left hand. You need to rotate slowly, very softly and smoothly.
4. Rotating the “SPINNER” rod with the fingers of your left hand, place the needle in the bowl with your right hand, with the sharp end “against the flow” of the beads. We try not to touch the bottom of the cup and do not hold the needle so that its tip is visible. The needle should be held semi-horizontally, you need to feel it, feel its movement in the mass of beads, choosing the correct inclination.
And then the beads themselves will be strung on the sharp end of the needle.
5. As soon as the beads fill the needle halfway, move the beads onto the thread and continue stringing.

Spinners can be purchased at handicraft stores.

For example, in the Ocean Beads store there is such a semi-automatic spinner 450 rubles.

This spinner is already available at Walmart 37.99$

How to make a bead spinner yourself.

That's why we are needlewomen, because we can do everything with our own hands!
Here are some master classes.

Good afternoon, dear readers! Today I would like to touch on a topic that is very relevant for needlewomen at all times: a spinner for beads. What is it, what is it used for and what is it eaten with? Let's figure it out.

In the article you will learn:

  1. Why do you need a bead spinner?
  2. What materials are needed to make it.
  3. How to make a bead spinner at home.
  4. How to use a spinner.

Spinner for stringing beads

Every experienced needlewoman knows how difficult it can sometimes be to get beads onto a wire or fishing line. How long does it take? To be honest, this is a very tedious task, and your eyes and hands get tired quickly.

I don’t think any of you like to sit and pick up one bead at a time for three hours, and then suddenly something doesn’t work out, unravel and pick up again and pick at these beads.

Therefore, a device such as a bead spinner came to the rescue. Spinner translated from English as spinning machine. When I first started beading, I naturally didn’t know about any spinners or other handicraft gadgets.

By the way, another one of these “helpers” is a bead weaving machine. We have already discussed how to make a beading machine in one of the articles. Follow the link "Beading machine".

Then I found out, and, of course, I wanted to buy such a thing for myself. I looked for this product in different online stores. Bead spinners are, of course, sold. Their average price varies from 150 rubles to 3,000 rubles.

It depends on the manufacturer, the brand, the material of manufacture, and the functionality.

Bead spinners are made of wood or plastic. They can be manual (when there is a bearing at the bottom of the cup, with the help of which the cup rotates) or electric (work on batteries or from the mains).

Recently, more and more needlewomen want to purchase a bead spinner, prompted by positive reviews from other craftswomen.

And I'm no exception. I could have bought a bead spinner at the store, but I decided to cheat and save money and made the spinner myself. Now I'll show you how.

How to make a bead spinner?

So, in order to make a spinner at home, we will prepare the following materials for work:

  1. Any unnecessary container (it is better if it is cup-shaped, with a narrow bottom and a wide top. We will put beads here).
  2. A ballpoint pen refill or a wooden stick (I took a sushi stick).
  3. Stand (this is what our cup will stand on). Even an ordinary shoe box will do for this (I used a sauce cup).

So let's begin. You need to make holes in the center of both containers; I used scissors; using a knife may not turn out straight.

Don't make the holes too wide. Now insert the stick through the upper and lower cups.

The spinner is ready.

Another option for a homemade bead spinner. Let's take:

  • A plastic bottle from which we will make a cup by cutting off the top part. Or let's also take a cup.
  • Metal self-tapping screw.

Let's make a hole in the center of the bottle or cup. And just insert a self-tapping screw into it.

To be safe, you can melt the screw head a little and insert it into the hole so that it sticks. The bead spinner is ready to use.

How to use a bead spinner

All that remains is to put it into practice. Pour beads into the top cup, let the beads be about half of the cup. This way it won’t spill out and will be enough for work without scraping the bottom with the wire.

We take the wire, bend the end about 90 degrees and lower it directly into the bowl of beads. Now, gradually, slowly, we begin to twist the stick clockwise, collecting beads onto the wire.

You see how easy it is to make a bead spinner at home.

In conclusion, it is worth saying that a bead spinner is a great helper for needlewomen; it simplifies and speeds up working with beads.

Now you are convinced that you can make a bead spinner with your own hands without leaving your home without resorting to expenses and shopping trips.

Use innovations in beadwork and making any bead decoration or craft will be much easier, faster and more fun!

With this I say goodbye to you. I hope you found the article useful.

Let's consider what possible methods of stringing beads on a wire (fishing line, thread, it doesn’t matter). We compare the speed of work, advantages and disadvantages, and you take the fastest one.

In order not to bore you with all the pros and cons, let us immediately consider a comparative table of the results of our study, in which 12 needlewomen participated (5 attempts for each method) using Czech Preciosa beads of the rocaille type (round beads) of size 10.

And then we will look in more detail.

Table 1

The speed of stringing beads depends on the method

And now more details ^__^

Method 1. Piece stringing beads on wire or fishing line

This is the most common method among beginners.

But it is also used in products in which the colors or sizes of beads are constantly alternating in certain order, if only 1-2 identical beads are in a row, as well as in products where only this option is possible, for example, when braiding beads, because you have to thread a wire (fishing line) into the holes after each bead, but our beaded flowers and trees are not such products, which is very pleasing ^__^

Stringing speed: 5-7 cm per minute

Advantages:

  • hmm... tell me if you found at least one...

Flaws individually stringing beads onto a wire (line):

  • The eyes become very strained, and as a result, vision may become blurred;
  • a very long time;
  • Fatigue increases quickly (as a consequence of 1 and 2);
  • As a result, beginners either have a reduced desire to engage in beading or it disappears altogether.

Method 2. Stringing beads using dense but soft light-colored fabric.

Pour a small pile of beads, about 10 grams, into the center of the fabric.

Then, with your left hand, between your index and middle fingers, pinch the far side of the fabric

and with your thumb we lift the nearest one, forming a “pocket”.

You can bend the two remaining fingers (ring and little fingers), but only so that you feel comfortable. This will lift the corner of the fabric that is hidden in your palm and will not allow the beads to fall apart.

Then with your right hand, move the wire through the beads towards the center of your palm, slightly lifting the wire so as not to scatter the beads that will be put on.

It is very important that you do not feel tension or discomfort in your hand. Try trying different positions of the fabric until you find one that is comfortable for you.

The piece of fabric should be small. A square or rectangle with a side of 10-12 cm will be quite enough. Larger fabric can be folded into several layers. In any case, it should be dense and soft so that you are comfortable. You can use napkins that are usually used to wipe dust or a kitchen table (photo on the right).

But personally, I don't like the feel of them, so in the photo above I used a Mary Kay case cover, turning it inside out. It's black on the outside. It strains the eyes. As you can see, you can use whatever comes to hand :)

Stringing speed: 15-20 cm per minute

Advantages:

  • 3 times faster than the previous method

Flaws:

  • possible faster

Method 3. Stringing beads using a homemade spinner (distaff).

You can make a spinner with your own hands from just 2 items that are in every home - a pencil (or the body of a pen) and a plastic jar, for example, sour cream.

To make a spinner, you need to pierce a hole in the center of a plastic jar with a pencil. The pencil should fit tightly and protrude about 0.5 cm from under the jar. If the hole is large and it falls further or does not hold on at all, you can wrap it with tape or tape at the junction with the can.

Stringing speed: 30-50 cm per minute

Advantages:

  • 7-8 times faster than piece stringing
  • the eyes remain almost relaxed, protecting your vision
  • very cheap

Flaws:

  • not the fastest way (although much faster than manual)
  • you need to be careful not to scatter the beads
  • not very comfortable.

Method 4. Stringing beads using a professional device - a spinner (or, as it is also called, a bead spinning wheel).

Method 5. Professional spinner + special spinner needle

The needle allows you to string beads even faster! It happens that 2-3 times.

It will help you a lot in stringing beads if the wire you use is thin or soft.

The process will become even easier and faster!

Stringing speed: 60-100 cm per minute

The only drawback of the needle is that the eye diameter allows the use of a maximum of 0.3 mm wire, usually up to 0.25 mm.

Let beading be your joy!

I wish you creative success and new victories!

Sincerely,

Shcherbakova Lyubov

We have prepared an interesting master class for you. If you are a fan of weaving balloons or strands of beads, this idea will definitely come in handy: with the help of a bead spinner, you can quickly collect the required number of beads on a thread.

We will tell you how to make a spinner yourself. Try a homemade spinner before purchasing an expensive mechanical device. You will appreciate the ease of use.

Material for production

To create a spinner for stringing beads, you can easily find the material you will need:

  • a round lid with a flat bottom and high sides (at least 2.5 cm) or a plastic cup for yogurt or sour cream;
  • regular ballpoint pen without refill;
  • scissors;
  • candle or lighter;
  • ruler.

Having prepared the necessary material, we can begin assembling the bead spinner.

Process of creation

It’s great if you use a lid to create a bead spinner, this will reduce the creation time, because it is already the right size, the right height, even, with smooth edges. And if you took a jar as the material, then you will need a little time.

Take your plastic cup and use a ruler to measure 2.7 cm from the bottom. Make marks on several sides and connect them together. The optimal height is 2.5 cm, but take a couple of millimeters in reserve, because we will singe the edges of the cup.

Take scissors, it is better to use small manicure scissors with sharp tips. Cut the bottom of the cup exactly along the line.

To prevent the part from clinging either during the process of creating a spinner for beads, or during subsequent work with the product, light a candle and scorch the edges of the cut part. You can use a lighter, but a candle is more convenient for this step; it does not need to be held by the flint or button.

The rod with which our spinner will spin will be the handle. Take the ink out of the pen. Turn the bottom of the cup over and mark the center on it. At this point you need to cut out a circle in which the shirt of your pen will fit tightly.

The handle should fit tightly, there should be no gaps so that beads do not fall there. When inserting the handle, unscrew the head. Insert the handle into the cut-out hole and secure with the head by screwing it in from the reverse side.

If it seems to you that the handle is loose, use hot glue and glue the handle to the bottom on both sides.

Check how your spinner spins; it should work like a spinning top.

Here's how to make a bead spinner, quickly and easily from the most affordable materials. But how to use it?

Principle of use

To use a bead spinner, fill it with enough small beads. There should be a lot of them, but not to the brim - 2/3 of the container. A large amount of beads can scatter, and a small amount can be difficult to collect. If you don't have a lot of it, it's better to make several spinners of different sizes. For example, from a wide sour cream cup and a small plastic one for drinks. This way you can always quickly collect beads, they will not fly apart or scatter across the huge bottom.

Take a fishing line or wire, attach the end to the beads with your left hand, and twist the spinner by the handle with your right hand. Hold the wire at a slight angle. Rotate the spinning top gently and slowly, so the beads will be carefully strung on the wire and will not scatter into the corners of the room. All you have to do is twist the rod and periodically move the chain of beads further.

In just a few minutes you will have a long garland of beads.

Advantages

A bead spinner has a number of significant advantages, for example:

  • simplicity - the spinner works simply, the simple mechanism does not require effort;
  • saving time - a chain of beads is assembled very quickly, tens of times faster than if you put one bead on the wire;
  • convenience - you don't have to bend your back over the table while casting, you don't have to strain your eyes and you don't need good lighting to quickly and easily cast on a long row of beads.

This is such a wonderful master class, we hope you find it useful. This simple device can be created in a few minutes and greatly simplifies the process of setting beads on fishing line, thread or wire.

Fans of bead weaving will find it useful to learn about such a simple device as a spinner. Two plates and a motor will help you string beads quickly and easily, while saving valuable time, without damaging your eyesight, and without losing precious peas on the floor.

DIY spinner:

In order to make a good spinner with your own hands, you will need very little, and the main thing is that all these are improvised means. Any craftswoman can make a spinner quite quickly and easily. You need to take two plastic jars or bowls, a motor, wires and a couple of batteries.

Bowl
The motor can be taken from an old cider

For those who don’t know where to get a motor, I’ll tell you, you can take it out of an old toy, cider, or buy it at a flea market. It should be low-voltage and high-speed, such motors were used in old cassette recorders. The main thing is not to lose the bolts that secured the motor, they will be useful to you. Well, in short, next you need to take a drill of the required diameter, heat it on a gas stove, and melt the hole. I do not recommend drilling, because the plastic may burst.

Holes for mounting the motor

Then we attach the motor inside a pre-prepared stand and attach wires to it (it is advisable to solder it if possible).

Solder the wires to the motor
Soldered wires

Then, naturally, you need to make a hole in the bowl that will spin; it should be of such a diameter that the motor axis fits in there with interference. As a rule, there is a plastic gear on the motor of a toy - this is very convenient for stringing a plastic plate onto it.

Hole in a plastic bowl for the engine axis

When the entire structure is assembled, you can also, for reliability, glue the motor axis to the bowl with thermosilicone or glue for plastics, just do not damage the motor.

Spinner assembly
Pour beads into the spinner

Then you just need to pour the beads into the spinner and connect the wires to the battery, the polarity does not matter, but the direction of rotation of the spinner depends on it, purely for your convenience. By substituting a needle and fishing line, you very quickly and simply string beads onto the fishing line, saving time and nerves.
