  • 2 - 18 p. central.
  • 3 - 24 p. and cr.

6. Take a different shade of yarn and continue the American rib method on 2 needles (center stitches), this will be the length of the upper leg.

7. Having finished repeating the pattern, you need to start knitting the side element of the trace. To do this, cast on loops on the sides of the previously knitted top, 30 from each edge, simply picking up the outermost loops on the knitting needle.

8. Then connect the thread to the beginning of the knitting from the cuff, knit the side element using the “American elastic” method - kr. plus 24 p., upper side piece - 30 p., center piece - 18 p., second upper side piece - 30 p. and another section of the cuff 24 p. plus cr.

When forming the sole of the tread, in each next row you need to decrease 1 stitch, either from one side or the other, but the number of central ones should invariably be 18 stitches.

14. As soon as there are 10 stitches on each side, start decreasing the base to narrow the heel as follows:

  • Shoot on your face. rows of cr. p. without knitting them, then continue knitting.
  • As soon as there are 3 stitches left in the row, knit two of them at the same time from the first person, and knit the last one into one from the cr. n. side element.
  • Purl rows are knitted according to the same pattern.

15. Thus, in each next row, make decreases on the sides, as well as in the central area, as a result there should be 3 stitches left.

16. Knit them with a single stitch with a broach.

17. Cut the thread you used, and to secure the outer loop, pull the tip of the thread through it.

We knit footwear with knitting needles with descriptions and patterns for beginners

Conventions in circuit descriptions:
  • L/p. - front loop
  • I/n. – purl loop
  • Kr/p. – edge loop
  • P. - loop

Sleds on two knitting needles are knitted very simply and quickly. This is an ideal option for beginners and for those who cannot spend a lot of time knitting complex patterns. But the finished work can be decorated with bright pom-poms and even presented as an original hand-made gift.

Step-by-step description of knitting footwear.

To start knitting, cast on 56 loops. Two of them, the first and the last, are edge stitches; the first one is usually removed, and the last one is knitted as i/p.

In the 1st row we knit like this: 27 l/p, 1 yarn over, 2 l/p, 1 yarn over, 27 l/p. In the 2nd row we knit i/p.

In the 3rd row: 28 l/p, 1 yarn over, 2 l/p, 1 yarn over, 28 l/p. In the 4th row again i/p.

We knit the next 10 rows according to a similar pattern, making increases in the middle of the front rows (yo, 2k/p, yo).

In the 15th row we knit l/p without increases. 16th row again l/p.

In the 17th row we knit l/p, not reaching the center of 7 loops.

Sole: Divide the loops into 3 parts, highlighting the central 14 pieces. We knit according to the following pattern: remove 1 p., 12 l/p, 2 p. together (1 p. central + 1 p. from the side). Unfold the knitting.

In the 2nd row, remove 1 p., 12 l/p., 2 p. together (1 p. central + 1 p. from the other side). Let's unfold it again.

We continue knitting the sole in the same way, decreasing the side loops. At the end there are 14 loops left.

We knit the back part: we knit the remaining loops for 16 rows in garter stitch and bind off.

Sew the back to the sides. We crochet the edges using the “crawfish step” method. It is advisable to do this not only for beauty, but also so that the trace does not stretch along the edge. Decorate as desired with pom-poms and knitted appliques.

Knitted footwear without seam.

This model is a little more complicated than the previous one, but beginners can also handle it with the help of a detailed master class.

To work, you will need medium-thick yarn of the desired shade (approximately 120 m/50g) and a set of stocking needles No. 3.5.

Let's start working on the traces.

First you need to cast on 5 loops. The first row - front - is knitted as follows: 1 cr/p, 1 l/p, 1 yarn over, 1 l/p. (this loop is central, it is advisable to mark it), 1 yarn over, 1 l/p, 1 cr/p. There will be 7 loops.

Yarn over next to the central loop in different directions: before it - working thread before the sp., after the c. p. – working thread behind sp.

In the 2nd row and in all even rows knit i/p. We remove the central loop without knitting, leaving the thread in front; In the 3rd row: 1 cr/p, 2 l/p, 1 yarn over, 1 central l/p, 1 yarn over, 2 k/p, 1 cr/p. it turned out to be 9 p.

5 row: 1 cr/p., 3 l/p, 1 yarn over, 1 central, 1 yarn over, 3 k/p., 1 cr/p. There will be 11 loops.

We knit in the same way until the number of loops increases to 41. When it becomes not very convenient, we divide the loops, switching to working with three knitting needles.

Then we proceed to knitting the lower part. We divide 41 loops into 3 links of 15, 11 and 15 loops. We knit all the loops in l/p (garter stitch).

In the 1st row: 15 l/p, switch to a new knitting needle, 10 l/p, 2 l/p. – in 1 l/p., turn the knitting over; In the 2nd row 10l/p, 2l/p. - in 1l/p, turn over again.

We knit the side parts. We cast on 15 loops on a new knitting needle and knit them according to the following pattern: 9 i/p, 5 l/p, 1 cr/p. In the second row - all l / r.

Using the same thread, we knit 11 stitches of the sole and cast on another 15 stitches on the next knitting needle. We knit the sole loops and the first 5 from the second side part as l/p, then 9 i/p and 1 cr/p.

Then we turn the work over and knit the next row according to the garter stitch pattern. We continue knitting, periodically trying on the trace. The heel is knitted similarly to the socks. In each row we knit the central 11 stitches. We connect the last loop of each row to one of the side loops. In addition, we reduce the center of the heel, otherwise the footprint will fall off the foot. Therefore, we make the descent evenly on the central loops, knitting 2p twice. in 1 p.

We close the side parts and the remaining loops. Along the edge you can tie it with a 1 to 1 elastic band or crochet it with single crochets.

Making warm heels with a Norwegian pattern on knitting needles

For this work you will need yarn of two colors - white and gray, a set of stocking needles No. 3.5 and a hook No. 3.

Knitting uses stockinette stitch and 2 patterns. Pattern diagrams can be seen in the photo below:

We knit even rows according to the pattern, crossing the threads from the wrong side. We knit the edge loops with both threads. When knitting heels, we knit once from rows 1 to 44. We do repetitions from 41 to 44 rows.

Description of the work progress:

We start from the heel. Having cast 31 loops, we knit the first row and/or then 44 rows according to Figure 1 (pictured above). Then pull the loops next to the edge loops on both sides through the cr/p so that 29 sts remain. Cast on another 31 sts for the top and knit all 60 in the round. 29 lower loops according to Figure 1, and 31 upper loops according to Figure 2. Decrease both parts at the same time by 3 and 4 loops. For the sole we make a broach - remove 1 l/p, 1 l/p, pull the removed one through the knitted one; 4p. and knit 3 stitches from the end together.

In the 33rd row from the top, we decrease: we knit 2 stitches in 1 liter. We tighten the remaining loops. Sew the sides. We crochet the top edge 3 times. single crochets in gray. The tracks are ready!

Video on the topic of the article

For those who want to take a closer look at knitting and get new ideas for needlework, we have prepared a selection of video master classes on knitted tracks:

Elizaveta Rumyantseva

Nothing is impossible for diligence and art.

At home, a person wants to feel comfortable and cozy. Particular importance is attached to slippers. They create that very homely environment. Knitting slippers is an easy way to create your favorite handmade item, which will allow you to feel the unique comfort of your home. Knit slippers for yourself, men's, children's, by following our detailed step-by-step instructions and following all the recommendations provided.

We prepare materials and tools

To knit slippers you will need knitting needles. Their thickness depends on the type of knitting chosen. For lace slippers, thick knitting needles are suitable, but dense and durable heels need to be knitted on thin knitting needles.

We carefully select the yarn. It should be durable, not wear out, not fade and be pleasant to the touch. To knit children's slippers, you need to pay attention to the slipperiness of the finished product. Threads with the addition of synthetics are suitable. Clean wool will be prickly and slippery. The knitting needles can be on a fishing line or straight. The article will also discuss how to knit slippers on five knitting needles.

You will also need a measuring tape, a hook, and a gypsy needle. For the insole - thick fabric, or better yet - felt or leather.

Determining the size of the product

The choice of children's or adult size depends on how the slippers are knitted. Footprints are measured exactly the same as socks. In this case, you can use the standard pattern for determining loops for knitting socks.

In other cases, when thick soles are used or slippers are knitted using a different method, the size is determined depending on the size of the shoe. You can measure your ankle circumference and instep height. Add these two numbers and divide by two. The number of loops is calculated depending on the knitting density, which is determined from the sample.

Knitting slippers using knitting needles: step-by-step master class with photos

The easiest way to knit indoor slippers is on the base. The best option for the base would be a felt insole. You can trace the foot on paper and cut out two soles using the resulting pattern. Please note that they must be symmetrical. We put the finished insoles aside and begin knitting slippers using knitting needles, following a simple step-by-step pattern:

  • To create slippers for foot size 36, cast on 42 stitches on two knitting needles. We knit 1.5-2 centimeters in garter or stockinette stitch.
  • We divide the loops into 4 parts: we leave the outer quarters on the knitting needle, and continue knitting the middle, that is, 20 loops.
  • We continue knitting only in the middle. You can change the thread or choose a pattern. We knit until the length of the product reaches the end of the little finger.
  • If you used a different thread, break the end. We continue knitting with the same thread we started. Cast on 25 stitches along the resulting rectangle.
  • We form the toe. We knit unfinished rows until four loops remain. We continue knitting, picking up loops along the edge on the second side of the rectangle.
  • We knit 6-8 rows with the selected stitch to create the height of the future product.
  • You can do this. But, before closing the loops, try the workpiece on your foot to see if the knitted fabric covers your foot. If not, knit a few more rows.

Having closed all the loops, you can start assembling the slippers. To do this, using a gypsy needle and thick thread, we sew the knitted fabric to the insole. At the same time, sew up the seam on the heel. So, using the correct knitting technology, you will knit comfortable and warm slippers in a short period of time.

Footprint slippers with embroidery

There is another way to create slippers. In this case, a seamless sock knitting technique is used, but without elastic. To do this, follow the description:

  • It is necessary to cast on the required number of loops for quick knitting of slippers (depending on the calculation according to the table).
  • We knit 2-3 rows in satin stitch and start. We put two knitting needles aside and continue working on the other two. We knit the height of the heel.
  • We begin to knit two loops together on each side to create a heel wedge.
  • Once all the side loops are closed, make a set of edge loops and continue knitting in the round.
  • To form the desired size, we make removals in even rows on the 1st and 3rd knitting needles.
  • We tie it to the required length - the product should cover the little finger or reach the bone of the thumb.
  • Cast off 2 stitches in even rows on the 1st and 3rd needles until the number of stitches is halved. We continue to decrease in both even and odd rows. We tighten the remaining four loops with thread.
  • The finished slippers are decorated. You can use floss or multi-colored yarn. It is easier to do this using a gypsy needle. The choice of pattern depends on your desire.

Advice: do not place the embroidery so that the threads are in the area of contact of the trace with the floor, that is, on the sole or side parts.

This technique will be especially familiar to those who have already knitted socks. But even for beginner knitters, creating tracks will not be difficult. If you have any questions about this technique, you can find answers to them in the video tutorial we offer.

Children's slippers or a flight of fancy

Knitting children's slippers is a separate topic that requires not only developed imagination, but also great skill. You can knit the footprints and simply decorate them with embroidery, patterns and appliqués. If the skill allows, then the mother will have a great idea - to knit slippers for the baby in the form of animal faces or any other shape. A baby can even sleep in slippers made of fine openwork knitting.

When choosing a model, consider your child's tastes. For a boy, an unusual and beautiful knit in the shape of a tank slipper.

A cool idea for baby shoes for a girl in the form of animals - a hedgehog, a dog or tiger paws. If a girl goes to dances, then knitting Czech shoes will be an excellent and stylish solution. So that your child has an unusual pair of shoes for school, take the trouble to weave ballet flats for him. The technique for making such shoes is more difficult, but after several training sessions you will be able to knit such a product. A great New Year's gift idea for a child is hand-knitted slippers in the shape of a Christmas tree.

But still, the most exciting activity for you will be knitting slippers for babies. These are unique models that seem complex only at first glance. To create them, you can use the master class described above, which will help you a lot.

Decorate your slippers with whatever you like. The simplest method is thread embroidery, described above. Models with appliqué look great. You can make a voluminous applique and create interesting faces or flowers.

Skilled craftswomen decorate slippers knitted with lace patterns, rhinestones, beads and stones. They can be located along the edge of the product or on its upper part. Thanks to these methods, you can make elegant slippers, even with a minimum of skill.

Slippers knitted using a complex pattern look especially attractive. No less interesting are the multi-colored models.

Advice from professionals

  • When knitting slippers, use dense threads that cannot be separated into individual fibers.
  • In the area of the toe and heel of the footprint, you can strengthen the wedges by adding a second synthetic thread.
  • Don't leave the tracks free. Being short in length, they will fall off your feet. To prevent this, you need to knit a couple of rows with a thick elastic band and only then continue knitting according to the pattern.
  • For embroidery, use threads that do not fade. Take the time to wash a piece of thread in advance and rub it on a white cloth. If there are no traces left, feel free to use embroidery threads. The same applies to applications. The fabric should not fade, otherwise your slippers will not be so attractive after washing.
  • The most practical are slippers with soles. For winter evenings, you can knit footprints or slippers using the sock technique, and reinforce the finished product with an insole sewn on top of the knitted fabric. These slippers will last you a long time. They are especially suitable for men and children. In the latter case, try to use a non-slip cloth. The ideal option would be leather or rubber soles.

If the step-by-step master class is too complicated for you, we suggest you try to learn how to knit slippers by following the instructions in the video tutorial. You can watch the video to the end, stop it at any convenient place, and watch it again and again if necessary. We are sure that thanks to the video you will be able to learn a new hobby, and also create any kind of house slippers not only for yourself, but also for all your loved ones.

Slippers are an invariable attribute of every home. They give the home a special coziness. Warm, comfortable, it’s so nice for your feet to be in them after a hard day at work... Hand-knitted slippers are especially comfortable.

Types of slippers

Craftswomen have come up with a large number of shoes that you can make yourself. These can be house boots, sandals, flip-flops, moccasins. They can be crocheted or knitted.

Each craftswoman chooses materials for the implementation of her idea independently. The needlewoman also decides for herself how to knit the slippers (like slippers). Warm threads are perfect for the cold season - mohair, wool, alpaca, threads with the addition of angora. For lighter periods, threads containing acrylic are perfect. Cotton and natural threads are universal - both in winter and summer, your feet will be comfortable and warm in such shoes.

Slippers

One of the types of house shoes are slippers. They fit tightly on the foot, like a sock, and do not fall off while walking. The heel in these slippers sits well on the heel, and the instep of the foot is open quite deep. You can wear the slippers either on socks or on bare feet.

There are several ways to knit slippers like slippers. The first is knitting in the round entirely, the work is done without seams. The second is the assembly of the product from parts, there are connecting seams.

Slippers in a circle

It’s easy to understand how to knit simple slippers. First you need to choose a thread and hook of the appropriate size. Then decide whether the slippers will have a finish.

The beginning of the work is a set of a chain of 3 air loops. The chain is closed into a ring and 6 double crochets are made inside the ring. In the next round, increases are made in each loop, then in every second, then in every third. Upon completion of the third round, knitting proceeds without increments. You can also knit in a spiral without making an air loop at the end of the row for lifting.

Without any additions, knit approximately 4 - 5 cm, depending on the size of the leg. Then the blank is tried on and put on the toes like a sock. If the length of the workpiece is sufficient, then they begin to perform rotary rows. To do this, knit a row to the middle, then knit 2 more loops, then make an air lifting loop and unroll the knitting. Thus, it is necessary to knit such a number of rows that their length is equal to the length of the foot.

While working, it is necessary to constantly try on the workpiece so that the mark does not turn out to be too wide or narrow.

At the end, the work on the heel is sewn together with a knitted seam. This seam is best suited - it will not rub the foot from the inside of the sneaker.

From the description it is clear how to crochet slippers. And in order to decorate the bottom, you need to use your imagination. The simplest option for decorating house shoes is tying with a crab step using a contrasting thread. You can also sew knitted flowers, sew on beads or other decorative elements. The choice depends only on the wishes of the needlewoman.

Slippers made from parts

These slippers consist of several parts - the sole and the top.

First, the sole is knitted.

How to knit slippers like slippers is clear if you look at the diagram. The arrow marks the start of work. For knitting, a chain of air loops is collected, which is tied with two rows of single crochets with additions at the ends to round the shape. In the next rows, where the sock will be, additions are made from double crochets, while the heel continues to be knitted with single crochets. Knit according to the pattern until the size of the sole matches the size of the leg. To make it more convenient to measure, the leg is traced on a sheet of paper and the outline is cut out. At the end, the workpiece is tied with a series of single crochets.

The next stage is knitting the top of the trail. A chain of 10 chain stitches is cast on, knitted in rotating rows until the middle of the leg lift, adding girth to every fifth loop in every third row. Then, first one strip is knitted to form a trace, then a second one.

The resulting blanks are sewn together - the sole is sewn to the top, and the heel is sewn along the seam.

Another option for knitting the top of this slipper is to continue knitting without tearing off the thread. To do this, knit the top of the sock in turning rows to the middle of the instep, making decreases in the outer loops. When there are so many loops left that the line on the rise is even, tie the sole and toe with several rows of single crochets. Five rows are enough for the footprint to stay firmly on the foot.

Slippers with hard soles

Unlike the previous version, these slippers have a hard sole. You can use any base - a ready-made felt insole, a hard foam sole for house slippers, a rubber sole. How to knit indoor slippers if the soles are thick?

To work you will need an awl, thick threads for the sole, threads for the top, and a hook.

Using an awl, holes are pierced at an equal distance from each other (1.5 - 1 cm). The holes are used for strapping the sole. If the bottom of the insole is dense and does not require strapping, then only the top is strapped. To do this, knit 3 stitches into each hole with one crochet. When the entire outline is knitted, begin knitting the insole, sole and upper. These elements are knitted in exactly the same way as in a prefabricated slipper, only the outer loops of the sole are used.

Children's slippers

It is very simple to understand how to knit slippers for children. They are knitted according to the same pattern as adult slippers: in the round, starting from the sole.

A chain of 5 air loops is cast on, the chain is tied with two rows of single crochets with increases in the end loops. Then the knitting continues, and at the beginning of the row an increase of 6 loops is made - 2 are knitted into 3 loops. The knitting moves in a circle.

A baby track for a 1 year old child consists of 7 rows - 4 rows of soles and 3 rows of top.

Shoe decoration

These shoes can be decorated in different ways. Animal figures are perfect for children's slippers. How to knit slippers in the shape of animals?

Bunny ears are made by casting on a chain of 5 chain stitches, then tying it in a circle: instep loop, single crochet, double crochet, double crochet, double crochet, single crochet. A row of connecting posts is tied in a circle. The ears are sewn to the front of the track. Bows are attached, eyes and nose are embroidered with black thread.

To knit a gosling figurine, you need to knit a ball using the amigurumi technique, embroider the beak and sew the resulting figurine to a slipper.

Now you know how to knit slippers and slippers. Don't hesitate, you will enjoy crafting!
