Relevance: "Do not touch! It is forbidden! Dangerously!" How often do our children hear this? Of course, it is dangerous to touch the socket, play around with the door lock, bite the electrical wires ... But what if the child has his own adult "toys"? Moreover, there is no need to “reinvent the wheel”, because everything has already been invented: a business board is a smart toy that will introduce the child to household items-little things and distract from real “dangers”.

This development board has its own name - busyboard. Literally, "business board" can be translated as "a board to occupy the baby." Indeed, various small objects and bright design can captivate a child for a long time.

This board was invented by the famous teacher Maria Montessori. According to her methodology, the independence of the baby is the key to his development. The child can choose the element he wants to play with today. In the process of playing with a business board, the kid learns to independently solve various problems, see his mistakes, correct them, look for different ways to solve the problem, develop creative thinking, fine motor skills of hands and speech.

Properly made, well thought out even at the “designing” stage, the business board has many small details that you can not only feel, but also perform certain actions with them: flip the switch, plug the plug into the outlet, press the buttons, latch the latch and so on. All this trains little fingers, and also teaches how to handle real analogues of these items in everyday life.

The business board is intended for the formation of skills and abilities of opening and closing various locks and latches. It is known that the development of fine motor skills and knowledge of the world through tactile sensations stimulate the formation of cognitive processes in young children. That is why today there is such a variety of all kinds of toys, cubes, designers and other play materials intended for young children. It's no secret that play activity is leading for preschool children. Working in the second group of early age (2–3 years old), we note that children have an interest in game object-manipulative activity, as the main one in early childhood.

From birth, children begin to explore the world - first through sounds, images and bodily contact with loved ones, then the stage of sensory development begins. And the more different textures and textures will surround the baby, the more harmonious his development will be. While playing, children develop fine motor skills of fingers, thinking, logic. It is on the development of fine motor skills that teachers of children's educational organizations are currently focusing. Helping the baby, they, thereby, contribute to the development of his speech, because it is no secret that the nerve receptors in the fingers are associated with the brain areas responsible for speech.

Currently, there is a wide variety of game methods in this area of ​​work with young children. We list some of them:

  • finger games;
  • games with cereals (sorting, drawing with semolina);
  • children's creativity (trihedral pencils, wax crayons or art pastels);
  • drawing with finger paints;
  • modeling from salt dough, from clay.

And the main task of an adult is to make all these activities varied and interesting, focusing on the interests of the baby.
Organizing the play activities of our pupils, we sought to find something new, non-traditional for classes with them, to avoid formal play interaction, to activate the desires and activities of the kids, to motivate children and adults to more productive, developing mutual cooperation. The most interesting of the new gaming technologies for preschoolers of early age seemed to us the idea of ​​​​creating a business board.

Bodyboards (busy board) - a development board (stand, module) with all kinds of buttons, switches, hooks and other small "dangers" that a child is usually forbidden to touch - this is not just a fashion trend. These are useful games for perseverance, attentiveness, the ability to concentrate, the development of thinking and brain activity. It is not for nothing that business boards are also called “Magic Board”, “Miracle Board”, “Board - a stand for fine motor skills”. And besides this, there is such a name as the Montessori Developing Board, because it was the Italian teacher Maria Motessori, known for her non-trivial development methods that are successful all over the world, who first suggested the idea of ​​teaching children through acquaintance with subjects.

It is known that the prototype of the modern business board was made back in 1907 by Maria Montessori herself. After analyzing the behavior of the kids, she came to the conclusion that they learn the world and perceive information for the most part through sensory sensations, thus developing fine motor skills. M. Montessori decided to give children the opportunity to play with objects that parents usually do not allow them to. Thanks to her, the first business board appeared: on a wooden surface there was a socket with a plug, a light switch, a door latch and a chain, and a panel with lacing.

Of course, one board can never replace a whole complex of preparation for kindergarten or school, but it is quite possible to lay an important foundation in the formation of a little genius. In our opinion, a business board is an excellent tool for the development of babies and is currently necessary in every early age group, as an element of a developing object-spatial environment.

Starting work on the use of a business board as a means of comprehensive development of young children, we took into account the requirements for the organization of a subject-developing environment specified in the program "From Birth to School", which is implemented in our preschool educational institution. Based on them, we determined that the business board meets these requirements, namely, such components as:

  • rich in content, developing (the more different elements are fixed on such a board, the more interesting it will be for the baby: various locks, wheels, doors, chains, buttons, etc.; the business board will be as interesting as possible for kids if there are as many fixed objects as possible, and each of them will be able to perform some action - the child learns to press, open, twist various objects, click, knock, turn, etc.);
  • accessible (the manual is made taking into account age characteristics and is located in a free accessible place, which gives children joy, develops their interest in learning new things);
  • safe (all base surfaces are carefully sanded; self-tapping screws that are used for fastening do not look out from the back of the board; the main material is soft fabric boards for babies up to a year old and smooth wooden bases without sharp corners for older children; there are no objects that can get hurt, and fine threads)
  • health-saving (all parts are made of durable materials and covered with high-quality paint);
  • aesthetically attractive (the main background is bright; objects of different sizes and colors; noise musical aids are used).

In our opinion, business boards are really necessary items, with such a board the child will not only be busy for some time, but will also significantly replenish his knowledge base, learn to open and close latches, develop his tactile sensations, finger motor skills, logic and thinking. On the business board you can find details that invariably arouse the interest of the child, but are prohibited by parents for safety reasons - sockets with plugs, switches, clothespins, latches and locks, hooks and chains.

Using a business board, our pupils are happy to work with laces, buttons, wheels, various toys that are interesting to press, feel, stroke. Children learn every little detail: move the door latch, try to open the lock with keys or put on a hook, make a phone call, open a wallet or unzip, etc. It is also advisable to place noise musical instruments (for example, a metallophone) and a screen for visual activity on the business board, which also increases the interest of the kids and motivates them for entertaining activities at the “magic board”.

The purpose of this work we see the versatile development of young children, the creation of conditions for their physical development, the activation of mental activity, the prerequisites for the development of their creative potential.

In addition, the business board serves as the subject of integration of elements of all educational areas of the child's development, reflected in the Federal State Educational Standards for Education: cognitive, speech, social and communicative, physical, artistic and aesthetic and can be a form of psychological and pedagogical support for positive socialization and individualization of a preschool child, a means of comprehensive development of his personality.

Being engaged with a business board, children not only get acquainted with household things that they have at home, but also develop certain skills:

  • fine motor skills (the main task of the business board is to give the child complete freedom of tactile perception);
  • coordination of movements (door chains, latches, lacing contribute to this. For a small person, it will be difficult the first time to get the key into the lock, turn the handle. With the help of a business board, he learns to control his hands.);
  • perseverance (young children are unable to keep their attention on one subject for a long time, and a business board makes it possible to perform and plan many actions);
